"Ruby"

Happy Saturday!

I hope it has been a good weekend for you all so far :o)  I have been cleaning the house today, yuck!  I did manage to take some time out to get some pictures taken of my new bear "Ruby" though.  She is available over on Bear Pile if you would like to visit her.

UPDATE: Ruby has been adopted!  Thank you so much!

Now it is time to start working on the bears that I will have available in the upcoming Bear Hugs 4 U online show!  :o)  I have to start now because I am slow, LOL!  I hope that you will be able to visit the bears and I when it is time for the show!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Hugs,

New Minis from the Tom Bishop Show

Hello!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
I had a great time visiting the Chicago International show on Friday :o)  There was so much to see, it was really kind of overwhelming!  One thing I know for sure is that I am going to need a much bigger budget next year, LOL!  I am already looking forward to going again.   Here are the amazing things that I purchased

Gorgeous flowers by Paula Gilhooley.  I had a hard time choosing! :o)

I couldn't pass up this little guy!   Isn't he adorable with his little paper hat! He is fully poseable too.  Maureen Thomas Miniatures
(My daughter volunteered to be my hand model here :o))

These two little birds are from The Little Dollhouse Company.  I couldn't pass these little guys up either :o)

I can't remember the name of the nice lady I got these from, but I love them!  They are so realistic!  there is a tiny whisk, a wooden spoon, a bottle brush and a cork screw.

This little goldfish in a bowl is my favorite purchase!  He was made by the very talented Miyuki Kobayashi.  I knew before I went into the show that this was the first dealer I wanted to seek out and I was so happy to find her!  I spent at least twenty minutes standing there admiring her work before finally deciding which one I wanted :o)  I'm not sure where it will end up, but I couldn't be happier with him!

A couple of little canning jars from Wee Little West.  These are so realistic!  I absolutely love them and Kathy and her husband are some of the nicest people I have ever met!

A little stepladder and a rooster planter from The Enchanted Garden.  These are destined for my next project, a garden shed that I have always wanted to make.  I started this project a while back, but didn't get very far.  I think it is time to get back to it.  I have been collecting bits and pieces for it for quite some time.

Another piece destined for the garden shed.  Isn't it wonderful!  Are you noticing a trend here?  I have a thing for roosters, LOL!  I purchased this wonderful weather vane from Spencer's Nook.  It is perfectly aged and rusty, Love it!

little sack of potatoes from Orsi's Miniatures.  Not sure where this will end up, probably in another future project I have been planning for a while, but more on that another day.

Last, but not least, a cute little bunny and kitten from Amanda Skinner.  I saw her little bunnies last year and regretted not purchasing one, so I knew I needed one this year.  He will be added to the garden shed as well.  The little kitten is for my daughter.  Her dollhouse has a cat theme and I always pick something up for her at each miniature show I go to.  :o)

I also picked up a few little kits, mostly for the quarter scale cottage I am working on.  I will share that with you all when I get it completed.

Well, that is all for tonight.  I can't wait until the next show!
Have a wonderful week!

"Braxton"

Happy Wednesday!

Just a quick post today to show my new bear that I have just listed over on Bear Pile.  His name is "Braxton" and he is a handsome little guy.  I hope you like him!

~Braxton has been adopted! Thank you!~

Also, I am very excited about the Chicago International miniature show coming up.  I am going to the preview on Friday to do some super fun mini shopping.  I can't wait!  I hope to see some of you there!

Have a great day!

New Bunny Available....Finally :o)

I have finally finished this little bunny that I mentioned in my post last week.  His name is Cadbury, which I thought was appropriate considering he was originally meant to be done in time for Easter.  I can never seem to get my holiday themed bears/rabbits finished in time for the actual holiday.  Holidays always seem to sneak up on me and before I know it they are over.  Nevertheless, I did manage to get this little guy ready and listed on Bear Pile where he is currently looking for his forever home.  I hope you like him!

~  CADBURY HAS BEEN ADOPTED, THANK YOU! ~

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

New Panda

Hello!

I finally managed to get some pictures taken of the little bear I finished last week.  Her name is Fancy and I am really happy with the way she turned out :o)  I added armature to her arms and legs so that she can be posed in lots of ways.  I had a lot of fun with her and I hope you like her too!
UPDATE:  Fancy found a new home in record time :o)  Thanks so much Michelle!

Now I'm off to work on that bunny I mentioned yesterday.  Thanks so much Kay for the energy and inspiration you sent my way :o)  I'm feelin' it today!  I even vacuumed the cat hair off the furniture and the cobwebs from the ceiling!  LOL!

Just a little sharing

Hello!

I hope that you are all doing well :o)

There hasn't been much going on around here lately.  I have been feeling a little blue so I've been vegging out in front of the tv mostly.  The doctor gave me a prescription for migraine headaches that I have to take daily and it makes me really tired all the time.  It seems like it is taking my body a long time to adjust.  So anyway, I am feeling a little bit better today and decided to take a look around my work room for some inspiration and I found something I thought I would share.   I bought these weathering powders about a year ago and I have had a lot of fun with them.  They are great for adding a layer of grunge to your mini scenes.  They are called Doc O'Brien's Weathering Powders and you can find them at Micromark.comYou get twelve colors, like mildew green, grungy black and rusty brown to name a few.  A little bit goes a long way, so these little jars are probably going to last me for all of eternity, LOL!  I used them a lot when I was building my Harry Potter shops and it was so much fun!  So, if you have a project that needs some ageing and weathering, I can highly recommend these.  If you click the link above you can read the instructions as well.

As far as the bears go, I am going to try and get some photos taken of the one I finished last week, that is if the sun ever comes out!  It is a bit dreary again today.  I also have a little rabbit on my work table that I started before Easter,  but I just haven't found the motivation to finish him/her yet.   If anyone has some extra energy you could send my way I would really appreciate it, LOL!  ;o)
I hope you all have a wonderful day!
Hugs,
*Jeannette
