Hello!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
I had a great time visiting the Chicago International show on Friday :o) There was so much to see, it was really kind of overwhelming! One thing I know for sure is that I am going to need a much bigger budget next year, LOL! I am already looking forward to going again. Here are the amazing things that I purchased
Gorgeous flowers by Paula Gilhooley. I had a hard time choosing! :o)
I couldn't pass up this little guy! Isn't he adorable with his little paper hat! He is fully poseable too. Maureen Thomas Miniatures
(My daughter volunteered to be my hand model here :o))
I can't remember the name of the nice lady I got these from, but I love them! They are so realistic! there is a tiny whisk, a wooden spoon, a bottle brush and a cork screw.
This little goldfish in a bowl is my favorite purchase! He was made by the very talented Miyuki Kobayashi. I knew before I went into the show that this was the first dealer I wanted to seek out and I was so happy to find her! I spent at least twenty minutes standing there admiring her work before finally deciding which one I wanted :o) I'm not sure where it will end up, but I couldn't be happier with him!
A couple of little canning jars from Wee Little West. These are so realistic! I absolutely love them and Kathy and her husband are some of the nicest people I have ever met!
A little stepladder and a rooster planter from The Enchanted Garden. These are destined for my next project, a garden shed that I have always wanted to make. I started this project a while back, but didn't get very far. I think it is time to get back to it. I have been collecting bits and pieces for it for quite some time.
Another piece destined for the garden shed. Isn't it wonderful! Are you noticing a trend here? I have a thing for roosters, LOL! I purchased this wonderful weather vane from Spencer's Nook. It is perfectly aged and rusty, Love it!
little sack of potatoes from Orsi's Miniatures. Not sure where this will end up, probably in another future project I have been planning for a while, but more on that another day.
Last, but not least, a cute little bunny and kitten from Amanda Skinner. I saw her little bunnies last year and regretted not purchasing one, so I knew I needed one this year. He will be added to the garden shed as well. The little kitten is for my daughter. Her dollhouse has a cat theme and I always pick something up for her at each miniature show I go to. :o)
I also picked up a few little kits, mostly for the quarter scale cottage I am working on. I will share that with you all when I get it completed.
Well, that is all for tonight. I can't wait until the next show!
Have a wonderful week!
