I want to thank everyone for your well wishes! I am feeling a little better today so I've been doing some work on my niece's dollhouse. It is coming along slowly, but I love the way it is looking. I will try and post some pics of the progress within the next couple of days. :o)

New Vintage Style Bear

Hi everybody! I hope you are all enjoying your weekend so far! I've caught a cold somehow and it is making me miserable, urgh! I have finished my vintage style bear today though and I wanted to share him with you. His name is Leon and he measures about 10" overall. He is on Bear Pile now if you would like to visit him there.
I think I might go take some more medicine now before I get started on my next project. I haven't decided what it will be yet, maybe a big green bear or a tiny mouse, hmmm.......

A Fairy Elephant

As I mentioned in my previous post, I have been working on a little girly elephant for the past couple days. I finally have her finished and ready to make her debut. :o)
Her name is Ariel and she is my very first fairy elephant and I am so pleased with the way she turned out!! I love her long eyelashes and pretty wings! I haven't made wings in such a long time, but they turned out nice I think.
I used to make them and sell them in my etsy shop for folks to use on fairy sculpts, BJD, bears, etc. I have been meaning to get some more made up, but there don't seem to be enough hours in the day! You all know how that is I'm sure!

Anyway, Thanks for stopping in! I have some patterns to cut out and a new vintage style bear to start on. :o) If you would like to read more about Ariel, she is now listed on Bear Pile.

Playing Catch-up

This was definitely an interesting weekend. We had a big storm on Friday that left us without power until late last night. Gregg and I both agreed that we never would have made it in a little house on the prairie, LOL! I am spending today getting caught up on computer stuff. I was having internet withdrawels the past couple of days!

I did manage to finish up some minis I have been working on though. This little guy is an elephant pull toy. He measures about 2" long. I had a lot of fun with him so I have another elephant and a giraffe in the works now. I am thinking of placing a couple of them in my Etsy shop, but I am not sure if anyone would be interested in them. Please let me know what you all think. :o)

I have also posted a show preview on my website. I will be at the Chicagoland show in October, is there anyone else out there that is planning to go either as an exhibitor or visitor? I am kind of nervous about it since it will be my first show, but I am also excited to meet lots of friends and finally put faces to names! I hope I can get enough bears made by then, I'm so slow, LOL!

She makes the cutest little miniature animals ever! Check out her blog and I am sure you'll agree. I can't decide which one I love more :o) I'm going to have to start a mini menagerie savings fund, LOL!

A Winner and a new ellie

Wow, I feel like I haven't been on here in forever! I almost forgot that today is the big day, LOL! Last week my husband was on vacation from work so we did lots of fun stuff. We went to the zoo and the park. We even went to some yard sales. I got lots of goodies and we all had fun! I even managed to finish a new little clown elephant named Trevor. He is a available on Bear Pile today if you would like to visit him there.

A New Little Elephant

Well, I finally had a chance to finish this little elephant I have been working on for what seems like forever. I have the rain to thank for giving me some free time.
I hope you like her. Her name is Ginny and she was made from my own design using a green mohair with gold threads running through it. If you would like to read more about her she is on Bear Pile tonight.
